Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Hospice Chaplain to join our team. The successful candidate will provide spiritual support and guidance to patients and their families, while reflecting the mission and philosophy of Suncrest Hospice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide spiritual support and guidance to patients and their families
  • Assess spiritual needs and ensure timely delivery of services
  • Serve as liaison and support to community chaplains and spiritual counselors
  • Maintain accurate records of spiritual care services utilization
  • Attend patient care conferences and interdisciplinary group meetings
  • Provide funeral or memorial services as requested
  • Supervise spiritual care volunteers as assigned
  • Participate in quality assessment and performance improvement teams
Requirements
  • Certificate of graduation from an accredited seminary or school of theology (BD, MDiv or equivalent theological degree)
  • One year of chaplain experience preferred
  • Experience working with death and the dying
  • Ability to work in an inter-faith setting
  • Minimum of 3 units of CPE
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
