As a key member of the Providence Place team, the LPN/RN Assisted Living Management position plays a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing staff in our Assisted Living Home, while maintaining a strong focus on resident needs, government regulations, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of daily living for residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
- Oversee the preparation and serving of meals and snacks to residents.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff in a polite and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided in our electronic health record system.
- Prepare, assist, and document the administration of medication, following accepted practices and state regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations regarding resident rights and maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Monitor daily medication administration to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.
- Provide oversight of infection control regulations and training for staff.
- Conduct routine audits to ensure medications are properly stored and administered.
- Review new physician orders, changes, and discontinuations to ensure accuracy in our electronic health record system.
- Assist with resident care plans upon admission and annually, as needed.
- Complete resident assessment paperwork upon admission, every 90 days, and as needed.
- Ensure proper lab draws and follow-up as needed.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of state rules and regulations, healthcare regulations, and OSHA guidelines.
- Must have experience as a nurse supervisor, with a NC LPN license preferred.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, community officials, and the general public.
- Must be able to work full-time, with available 24/7 phone hours, 7 days a week, per rotating schedule.
- Must meet all state health requirements.
- Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities with, and/or without reasonable accommodations.
