Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Lead Physician to join our team. As a Clinical Lead Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to residents and patients across various settings. You will work in partnership with non-physician practitioners and other interprofessional team members to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide complex and geriatric care to residents and patients across settings
  • Collaborate with nurse practitioners and physician assistants to support them in their clinical roles
  • Audit medical orders and documentation for each provider monthly
  • Assume medical directorships for skilled and/or other senior living facilities as needed
  • Identify new growth opportunities with skilled facilities and/or other senior living facilities in the market/region
  • Participate in company frontline /backup call processes for timely response to acute changes of condition
  • Focus on quality outcomes including care path compliance and productivity

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of medicine and is a Doctor of Medicine
  • Two or more years of administrative leadership experience in healthcare
  • Clinical medical experience of seven years or more preferred

Certifications/License/Other Special Requirements

  • Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Geriatrics; qualification in Geriatrics preferred
  • Practicing physician currently licensed under the provisions of the State Board of Medicine
  • Active unrestricted licensure to practice in state of employment
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration registration

  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare support staff
  • Ability to treat patients and their families with compassion and understanding
  • Ability to work for long periods of time with patients who need special attention
  • Ability to display patience with children and adult patients who fear medical treatment
  • Excellent computer and electronic record-keeping skills
  • Excellent organizational and management skills
  • Excellent decision-making, problem-solving and cognitive abilities
