Position Overview:
The Surgical Technologist is accountable for ensuring safe and effective patient care by executing the scrub role during surgical and other invasive procedures. This role operates under the guidance of the perioperative Registered Nurse and physician, delivering quality care throughout the intraoperative phase.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma is mandatory. Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous. Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology Program or relevant experience as a surgical technologist is required.
- BLS certification is necessary.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
- Prior experience as a surgical technologist is preferred.
- Must maintain CST certification (if held upon hire or obtained post-hire).
