Production Planner

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Production Planner to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a background in manufacturing or production planning.

Job Purpose:

The Production Planner will be responsible for determining how goods will be produced and how much materials will be needed for production. This position directly reports to the Plant Manager.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 6 am - 2:30 pm

Responsibilities:

• Create BOMs for new jobs and update IQMS data as needed.
• Schedule new orders on appropriate machines or assembly stations.
• Develop daily schedules and hold daily production meetings.
• Inform production personnel of new lot number requirements and specific order requirements.
• Coordinate outbound shipments of produced products.
• Train others when assigned.
• Fulfill Shipping and Receiving department duties when needed.
• Maintain inventory counts in IQMS and conduct cycle counts on each job.
• Control scrap and process evaluations of each job as needed.
• Perform other assignments given by the General Manager.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Basic understanding of the English language.
• Ability to perform basic math operations.
• Prior injection molding experience or planning experience is required.
• IQMS knowledge is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to move around an office environment and on the production floor.
• Ability to work at a computer workstation.
• Lift up to 40 pounds.
• Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly.

• Safety trainings.
• IQMS training (maintain inventory counts & cycle counts on each job).
• Production schedule development and meeting facilitation.
• Customer requirements training.
• Work order creation for maintenance jobs.
• Scrap control and process evaluation of each job.
