Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Texas Health Plano. As a PRN Respiratory Therapist, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Review medical records and obtain pertinent medical history from patients or families.
  • Evaluate patients using age and diagnosis-appropriate assessment tests and measurements.
  • Apply appropriate patient care interventions according to protocol guidelines and priority of care.
  • Demonstrate competence in the performance of age-appropriate patient assessment and individualize care based on age-specific needs.
  • Use therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient's age and desire for treatment procedures that are within the scope of the professional license.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Care Program.
  • CLIA certification required.
  • 1 year of Med/Surg or critical care experience preferred.
  • RCP and RRT certification required.
  • BCLS and ACLS certification required.
  • NRP certification required if working in the NICU.
  • Good verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and computer experience.
