Busser

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Busser to join our team at Black Bear Diner Hayward. As a Busser, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests have an exceptional dining experience.

• Greeting Guests: Greet all guests in a professional, friendly, and family-oriented manner before, during, and after the meal period.
• Maintenance of the Dining Room: Maintain the cleanliness of the dining room, including the floor, tables, and chairs.
• Table Setup: Set up dining room tables with place mats and rolled-up silverware.
• Busser and Re-Setting Tables: Bus and re-set tables, using white towels with proper sanitizer to clean the surface of all tables prior to re-setting.
• Cleaning Windows and Counter Ledges: Clean windows and all counter ledges.
• Cleaning and Restocking Bathrooms: Clean and restock bathrooms.
• Clearing Debris and Spills: Clear debris and spills on all walkways and parking areas outside of the restaurant.
• Assisting Food Servers: Assist food servers as necessary.
• Refilling Beverages: Refill beverages when necessary.
• Making Food Runs: Make food runs when necessary.
• Assisting Guests: Assist guests with any needs they may have.
• Coordinating with Hosts: Coordinate with hosts with seating arrangements.
• Keeping Service Stations Clean: Keep all service stations clean at all times.
• Emptying Trash Cans: Empty all trash cans at service stations.
• Assisting with Beverage Dispensers: Assist with the replenishment of all beverage dispensers.
• Cleaning Light Fixtures and Picture Frames: Assist with the cleanliness of all light fixtures and picture frames, making sure they're free of dust.
• Sweeping and Vacuuming Floors: Sweep and vacuum floors at the end of the shift and at night when closing.
• Setting Up the Room: At night, make sure that the night crew sets up the room completely for opening the next day.
• Working Overtime: You are required to work overtime, if needed.
• Reporting Equipment Failures: Report to Manager any equipment failures and any shortages of supplies immediately.
• Taking Breaks: Make sure to take your breaks on time to avoid any penalties.
• Returning to Work Stations: Make sure to return to your work stations after breaks on a timely manner.
• Being a Team Player: Be a team player, taking ownership of the entire restaurant, not just your station.
• Completing Assigned Tasks: Complete any other assigned tasks willingly as designated by management.

Additional Requirements:

• Lift up to 50 pounds at a given time.
• Must be able to multi-task (including use of communication via a radio headset).
