Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation and Logistics: Safely operate a company vehicle to transport donated goods and merchandise to and from our thrift store locations, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload a variety of merchandise, including furniture, bedding, appliances, household items, and clothing, using equipment such as lifts, dollies, and safety belts to prevent personal injury.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to our customers, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of transportation routes, delivery times, and any issues encountered during transportation.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a truck driver or in a related field.
  • Skills: Valid Florida driver's license, excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and basic computer skills.
  • Certifications: CDL preferred but not required.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment, with frequent lifting, bending, and standing. The employee must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and be able to lift up to 40 pounds. The employee must also be able to work in a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
