Position Overview


Key Responsibilities

The Slot Technician is tasked with fulfilling all maintenance requirements for slot machines, which includes daily servicing, installation, relocation, reactivation, and preventive upkeep. Gaining knowledge on the job, combined with diligence and commitment, can lead to opportunities for advancement to a Technician role when available.

Core duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting all necessary repairs and service tasks for slot machines and related gaming apparatus.
  • Executing installation, configuration, diagnostic testing, and final testing of all slot machines and associated equipment, adhering to the manufacturer's Operation and Service Guide and departmental policies.
  • Removing and replacing defective components during installations and upgrades, in line with the manufacturer's guidelines and departmental procedures.
  • Ensuring all slot machines on the gaming floor operate in accordance with company standards.
  • Rebuilding parts and equipment during downtime and managing the assigned parts inventory.
  • Prioritizing workloads to align with business needs.
  • Circulating through the designated area to perform repairs as required.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in all slot and storage areas.
  • Responsible for the initial setup and testing of all new slot products.
  • Completing all regulatory and operational documentation accurately and legibly.
  • Assisting in training subordinates and developing new methods and techniques for training materials.
  • Upholding the integrity of slot machine equipment and securing all company assets at all times.
  • Conducting oneself in compliance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies.

Qualifications


• High School diploma or equivalent, with mechanical or technical skills, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• Ability to learn and master the phases of machine installations, positioning machine cabinetry, and unloading machines during deliveries.

• Proficiency in reading and comprehending common technical manuals.

• Capability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Basic mathematical skills are essential.

• Strong guest service skills are required.

Work Environment:

  • Responsibilities are typically performed in the back of house of the casino, which can be fast-paced and noisy. There may be occasions where you will need to be on the gaming floor or pass through this area, exposing you to environmental factors such as secondhand smoke and loud sounds.
  • While executing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to manipulate objects, reach with hands and arms, communicate verbally, and may need to lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this role include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Native American Preference Policy:

The Tribal Council prioritizes Native Americans in all employment practices. First preference in hiring, training, and promotion is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet job qualifications. Second preference is extended to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.
