The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LA Metro) is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Project Manager to oversee the design and construction of large-scale transportation projects.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Engineering Project Manager to lead our engineering teams in delivering complex transportation projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Lead and manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.">
  • Develop and implement project management plans, including resource allocation, risk management, and change control.">
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure effective communication, issue resolution, and project delivery.">
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and LA Metro's policies and procedures.">
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.">
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.">
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering project management, preferably in the transportation or infrastructure sector.">
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, practices, and regulations.">
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.">
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.">
  • Familiarity with project management tools, software, and techniques.">

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ">
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in California.">
  • Experience with rail transit industry standards, such as Metro Rail Design Criteria (MRDC), California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), and American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA).">
  • Knowledge of Microstation, AutoCAD, and InRoads for rail design and review.">
  • State of California Professional Engineer registration preferred.">

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
