We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work closely with our physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care and support the delivery of physical therapy services.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to interdisciplinary team meetings to plan patient care and discuss discharge plans.
- Precept and evaluate PT technicians and physical therapist assistants.
- Document patient treatment and progress towards goals.
- Instruct physical therapy and physical therapist assistant students.
- Provide skilled physical therapy treatments to patients, including designing and teaching exercise programs and fitting patients with ambulatory devices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the maintenance of valid and reliable records of patient procedures and progress.
- Graduation from an accredited two-year Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant by the state of North Carolina.
- BLS certification.
