About the Role
Suffolk Construction is seeking a talented Project Engineer to join our Career Start program, a two-year rotational program designed for recent college graduates who are passionate about a construction management career.
As a Project Engineer, you will work on various projects, gaining hands-on experience in estimating, project management, and field operations. You will be part of a national cohort of peers, rotating through different roles to master the fundamentals of construction management.
Responsibilities
- Assist with estimating, including creating detailed estimates and forecasting project costs.
- Support project managers in overseeing project resources, coordinating trade partners, and managing budgets.
- Gain experience in field operations, supporting superintendents in daily job site activities and managing trade partners to deliver quality products on time and on budget.
Requirements
- Recent or soon-to-be college graduate with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Previous co-op or internship experience preferred.
- Candidate must possess Suffolk's Core Values: Passion, Integrity, Hard Work, Professionalism, and Caring.
Working Conditions
The employee will spend time in an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level and will be required to sit for long periods, talk or hear, and perform fine motor skills. Job site walking is also required.
