We are seeking a talented Electronics Design Specialist to join our team at Leidos. In this role, you will work with a multi-disciplined design team to design, develop, simulate, and integrate innovative custom microelectronics in support of warfighter missions.

Candidates should have a strong background in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms and their implementation in MATLAB and FPGAs. This role also involves supporting integration, test, and verification in the final products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for technical and programmatic assessments of technologies, capabilities, materials, equipment, and performers in support of the advancement of the U.S. Defense Industrial Base's (DIB) access to trusted, state-of-the-art microelectronics.

This position requires collaboration with a range of engineers, scientists, policy makers, and executives within the government, industry, and academia across the country.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing occasional technical support and/or field support planning
  • Conducting experimental tests on latest SoC evaluation boards, evaluating results, and developing specifications for selecting next-generation components
  • Interacting with outside customers, suppliers, and functional peer groups

Some travel and work at remote sites for limited time periods may be required. The Electronics Design Specialist must provide status reports to project managers and/or division production manager as needed.

Basic qualifications include U.S. Citizenship with an active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a TS clearance. A Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience or a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline are required.

Preferred qualifications include experience in hardware test and measurement, hands-on lab debug, interfaces such as ADC/DACs, SerDes, PCIe, JTAG, DDRx, LInC, Electronic Warfare, and programming languages like Linux command line/scripting, Python, Java, and C++.

Our estimated salary range for this role is $67,600.00 - $122,200.00 per year. While subject to change based on business needs, we reasonably anticipate that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days.
