The College of Nursing and Healthcare Professionals at GCU is committed to providing students with a comprehensive education that prepares them for success in the field. As a Full-time Nursing Faculty Member, you will play a vital role in providing lab/clinical program instruction, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies, and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) and a minimum of 2 years' work experience in medical/surgical, long term care, and/or skilled nursing. Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level is preferred, as is evidence of involvement in one's professional area, such as membership in professional organizations, presentations, research, and/or publications.
In this role, you will be responsible for reinforcing didactic content, teaching in the context of clinical and lab application of knowledge and skills related to pre-licensure Nursing. You will also collaborate with content area faculty to provide expert evaluation and documentation of student progress toward clinical and lab objectives.
Additional responsibilities include participating in grading written and Clinical/Lab performance check-offs, preserving lines of communication with program faculty and director, and upholding the tenets of nursing as a holistic profession as well as the pillars of the University. Travel to student clinical sites may be required to directly observe student performance.
