Position Overview:
This role offers a competitive compensation package with excellent benefits. We are looking for a dedicated Nursing Assistant/Registered (CNA/NAR) to provide essential support to our adult residents in a Skilled Nursing Facility. This position involves delivering hands-on care and support services to residents in both long-term care and transitional care units. The work schedule includes 48 hours over two weeks, with night shifts and rotating weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents according to their individual care plans, including personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor and record vital signs as per community care protocols.
- Provide morning and evening care, including specialized assistance as needed.
- Safely transfer and reposition residents, utilizing mechanical aids when necessary.
- Observe and report any changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate staff members.
- Document care provided in the electronic medical record system.
- Address and resolve concerns raised by residents and their families.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in resident rooms and work areas, and report any equipment issues.
Qualifications:
- Required: Must be active on the MN Nursing Assistant registry by the start date.
- Preferred: Experience working with diverse populations, particularly the elderly, and strong communication skills with empathy and understanding.
- Previous experience in roles such as Home Health Aide, Personal Care Assistant, or similar positions is advantageous.
