About the Role

We are seeking a Logistics Operations Specialist to join our team in Havre. This role will involve CDL driving and operations work at our site, requiring some overtime during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading, including sampling, loosening large nuts, opening hatches, and attaching/detaching flexible hoses.
  • Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks using heavy or light-duty machinery/equipment.
  • Conduct and record repairs and maintenance tasks, regularly inspecting in-use equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory quality (including blended, bulk, or packaged products).
  • Deliver products like fertilizer, chemical, seed, feed, and more to customer sites, ensuring accurate and on-time deliveries in a safe and professional manner.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, including pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement, and hours of service.
  • Maintain clean, orderly, and safe work areas and vehicles, performing regular housekeeping duties.
  • Perform grounds maintenance, including snow removal, and warehouse work, such as driving a loader, loading/unloading inventory, and forklift operation.
  • Promptly report customer complaints, repair/maintenance needs, or safety concerns to supervisors.
  • Maintain a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.

Requirements

  • Class A CDL
  • Minimum age requirement met
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Maintain or obtain a CDL and DOT medical card
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends to meet business demands
  • Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred
  • Valid Class A CDL preferred
  • Agriculture background preferred
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Bulk liquid, Pressure trailer, or Forklift experience preferred

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is around $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
