About the Opportunity

Ventura College seeks an accomplished part-time faculty member to join our team as a Photography Instructor. This is an excellent opportunity to share your passion for photography with students and contribute to their academic success.

Job Description

  • Teach photography courses, including introductory and advanced levels, to students of varying skill levels and backgrounds.
  • Develop and maintain course materials, syllabi, and assessments that meet departmental standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency in curriculum and instructional methods.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, workshops, and professional development activities to stay current with industry trends and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in photography or related field, or equivalent experience in the industry.
  • Master's degree or higher in photography or related field is preferred.
  • Teaching experience, either online or in-person, with adult learners or students with diverse needs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in instructional design, curriculum development, and assessment.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $1,968 to $3,047 per semester, based on educational qualifications and experience. Part-time faculty members also receive benefits, including paid time off and access to professional development opportunities.
