Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Technician I to join our team. As a member of our nursing staff, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in pediatric patient care.

The Nurse Technician I assists in patient/family education and in the delivery of individual care for a group of patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assists in delivering individual care for a group of patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
  2. Assists in patient/family education capabilities and under the direction of a licensed nurse.
  3. Contributes to the assessment of individual patient care.
  4. Contributes to the delivery of patient care.
  5. Participates in the educational efforts of the department and the nursing unit.
  6. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age and developmental status.
  7. Other duties as required.
Requirements:
  1. Must currently be enrolled in a baccalaureate accredited registered nursing program as a junior or senior or enrolled in the second year of an accredited associate degree in nursing program.
  2. Current Health Care Provider BLS training from the American Heart Association is required.
  3. No relevant experience is required, but some healthcare experience is preferred.

This is a part-time position with a salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year. The hospital offers competitive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
