Lead Care Manager

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Care Manager to join our Sunrise Senior Living community. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional care to seniors. As a key member of our care management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive the highest level of care and services possible. Some of the key responsibilities of this position include:
- Providing supervisory support to care staff
- Ensuring quality care and services are delivered in accordance with resident Service Plans
- Aiding with meal service and coaching team members on hospitality standards
- Accurately documenting care and services provided
Responsibilities
* Take attendance at the beginning of every shift
* Manage call-offs/no shows and send open shift messages
* Support team members with ADL care and services
* Assist with meal service and coach team members on hospitality standards
* Accurately document care and services provided
* Ensure compliance with Sunrise's Timekeeping and Meal/Rest Period policies
* Participate in group interview process including job preview video and community tour
* Support onboarding of new team members including shadowing and skills demonstration
* Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests by following established safety standards;
* Report incidents and complete appropriate paperwork immediately;
* Communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to the department care coordinator;
* Prevent and handle conflict by working with the team towards a solution;
* Contribute to care manager annual performance review by providing feedback to department care coordinator;
* Project a positive, professional, and friendly image through action, words, and dress;
* Demonstrates leadership competencies;
* Ability to delegate assignments to the appropriate individuals based on their skills, roles, and interests;
* Ability to make choices, decisions, and act in the residents' best interest;
* Ability to appropriately react to and remain calm in difficult situations;
* Ability to handle multiple priorities;
* Competent in organizational and time management skills;
* Demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills;
* Competent in computer skills, Microsoft Office, and Sunrise applications with the ability to learn new applications;
* As applicable, all Sunrise team members who drive a Sunrise vehicle must sign the Driver job description and understand the key essential duties for safety and regulatory compliance;
