We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Unit Charge Nurse to lead our Medical Oncology team at Emory Healthcare. As a key member of our inter-professional team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the daily operations of a specific shift on our clinical unit.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and facilitate communication with physicians and internal administrators to provide optimal patient and family-centered care.
- Recognized as a change agent, lead efforts to strengthen organizational systems that support the mission, vision, and values of the department.
- Provide and coordinate resources needed within the unit to provide optimal patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance and adherence with stated policies and procedures for the unit.
- Role model delegation skills to colleagues and assist them in effective delegation utilizing the Synergy model for care.
- Lead and coordinate team behavior between staff members and actively foster the development of leadership skills in others.
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
- Completion of UCN/SNM criteria requirements within nine months of promotion or hire, including completion of Enhancing your Communication HLC#6488, completion of formal preceptor training workshop, and enrollment in LEAP course.
