Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Merchandise Handler to join our team at True Value Company, LLC. As a key member of our distribution team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of merchandise through our warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving and Processing: Unload merchandise from trailers, verify goods received against purchase orders or invoices, and maintain accurate records.
  • Inventory Management: Stack and load cartons and other containers for outbound shipment, stock shelves with goods received, and utilize material handling equipment to move merchandise.
  • Order Fulfillment: Select and pick product for shipment from computerized store order requests, matching inventory to order numbers, and prepare merchandise for shipping using shrink wrap machines or other devices.
  • Quality Control: Verify the accuracy of counts and ensure that merchandise is properly labeled and stored.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety processes and protocols, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 0-1 years of experience in distribution, warehouse, supply chain, or similar industry preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to lift 50-85 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a warehouse environment, exposed to heat, cold, and chemicals, and wear personal protective equipment as required.
