Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Pastry A to join our team at Colonial Williamsburg Company. As a Pastry A, you will be responsible for creating a variety of sweet treats, including cookies, cakes, and pastries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and present a la carte and banquet plate presentations
  • Produce small pastries and individual desserts, including specialty cookies
  • Participate in bread bake-offs and prepare a variety of basic doughs
  • Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
  • Possess a working knowledge of basic pastry production
  • Understand production of icings, fillings, and frostings
  • Proficient in hand skills required for producing finished tortes
  • Completion of a pastry or baking apprenticeship, associates degree in pastry and baking, or 2 years related experience
  • Basic knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with limited supervision
  • Maintain standards listed below
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to transport up to 50 pounds
  • Perform duties while standing most of the work shift
