Job SummaryWe're seeking a Contract Industrial Designer to support our Team Sports business unit. As an integral member of our design team, you'll play a key role in identifying and implementing cutting-edge design technologies into our performance and connected products. Your expertise will help us develop innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of athletes and their personal preferences.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the product design team to drive new product and design initiatives across the Team Sports business unit.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in football, basketball, soccer, and volleyball performance, including lifestyle, shoe, and digital trends.
- Research and develop new product concepts that satisfy end-user requirements.
- Foster and create the visual design language across all Wilson Team Sports hardgoods and connected products.
- Develop tech packs and communicate product concepts within the company and to US and Asia-based colleagues.
- Research and analyze competitive products, industry trends, and external consumer product trends to capitalize on market opportunities.
- Ensure execution of product design aligns with consumer visual identity and fits within our business objectives for the product range.
- Build critical relationships and leverage expertise and capabilities from inside and outside Wilson to deliver results and create value.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
- Minimum one year of experience in industrial design or product development of consumer products.
- Experience working across various mediums in design and production of branding, product, and packaging.
- Proficient with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks) and 3D rendering software (KeyShot).
- Strong hand-sketching and rendering skills, with ability to create designs quickly.
- Demonstrated ability to pitch design ideas to a large group.
- Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience producing tech packs and technical drawings for production.
