Job Description
A radiology nurse plays a crucial role in the assessment, planning, and care of patients undergoing diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic procedures. Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring patients during radiology procedures
- Administering conscious sedation under the direction of a physician
- Interpreting and treating cardiac arrhythmias
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
- Organizing daily work schedules and preparing supplies and equipment rooms to meet physician requirements
- Collaborating with other disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care
Requirements and Job Info
Previous interventional radiology experience is preferred, with 1-2 years of experience as a registered nurse. Active BLS, state license, and ACLS are also required. Demonstrating the highest level of professionalism when interacting with patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff members is essential.
