Maintenance Technician

At ABC Technologies (USA Region), we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Maintenance Apprentice to join our team. As a Maintenance Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced maintenance technicians to develop your skills and knowledge in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, PLC, and robotic repairs, preventative maintenance, rebuilds, and more.
Job Responsibilities:- Complete an on-the-job training program (8,000 hours) and required college courses to learn maintenance skills.
- Train with current employees on regular preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair maintenance on production equipment.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust equipment.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools to ensure machines and tools are in good working order.
- Perform daily cleaning and light maintenance on machinery/tools.
- Responsible for achieving safety, quality, and maintenance goals in a manufacturing environment.
- Disassemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
- Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment.
- Repair and maintain the operating conditions of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment.
- Examine parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.
- Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
- Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters and other testing devices.
- Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
- Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
- Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
- Study blueprints and manufacturer manuals to determine the correct installation and operation of machinery.
- Record parts and materials used, and order or requisition new parts and materials as necessary.
- Cut and weld metals or repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment.
- Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators.
- Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery.
- Upon completion, the apprentice will enter regular schedule rotation on the open shift.
- High school Diploma or GED (must provide documentation).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Demonstrated mechanical or technical aptitude (aptitude test).
