Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to join our Endoscopy Department at AdventHealth Tampa. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating patient care delivery, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate patient care delivery on the assigned nursing units
  • Ensure delivery of optimal available quality patient care and organizational effectiveness
  • Complete concurrent chart audits to ensure charting within the EMR is complete, accurate and specific to the patients' diagnosis, plan of care and core measures
  • Coordinate staff educational needs and provide guidance in the delivery of care and nursing practice within the clinical unit
  • Participate in unit employee selection through interviewing and the hiring process
  • Oversee orientation, training and education of new personnel and ongoing staff development
  • Assist Leadership with unit budget/cost containment and labor tracking
  • Actively participate in Infection Control Surveillance for the department

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Associate's degree or Diploma in Nursing
  • Current valid Florida State Board of Nursing Registered Professional Nurse license
  • Minimum of two years Endoscopy nursing experience and two years of prior leadership experience in team leader role
  • BLS and ACLS certification
