Job Summary
The Core Laboratory Pathology Manager is responsible for the successful operation of the laboratory, which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Key responsibilities include selecting and managing supervisory, technical, and customer service personnel, as well as managing expenses and labor, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs. The manager will also be instrumental in identifying laboratory instrument platforms for use throughout the WakeMed system and providing technical and operational support for other facilities performing testing in the disciplines associated with the Core Laboratory.

Key Responsibilities
Effective selection and management of supervisory, technical, and customer service personnel
Financial management of expenses and labor
Quality assurance and regulatory affairs
Identification of laboratory instrument platforms for use throughout the WakeMed system
Provision of technical and operational support for other facilities performing testing in the disciplines associated with the Core Laboratory

Requirements
4 years of management experience with direct responsibility for an area of the laboratory
5 years of clinical experience in a clinical laboratory
Bachelor's degree in a life science
Master's degree in business administration preferred

Work Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
No weekends or on-call requirements
