Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Geriatric Rehabilitation Therapist to join our team at Oroville Hospital's Post Acute Center. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in helping residents achieve their full potential and maintain their independence.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with active and passive therapeutic exercises under the supervision of the Director of Nursing or Director of Rehab.
  • Instruct, motivate, and assist residents in learning and improving functional activities such as eating, transferring, ambulating, and daily-living activities.
  • Observe residents during treatment and document data on their responses to treatment and progress.
  • Confere with members of the restorative staff and other health team members to plan, modify, and coordinate treatment programs.
  • Record resident information on the restorative flow sheet according to policy.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess a High School graduate or equivalent certificate, a Certificate of completion of a formal Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program, and current Certified Nurse Assistant Licensure in the state of California. You should also have RNA Certification or obtain it within 30 days of hire, complete 12 hours of continuing education per year, and have previous long-term care experience. Additionally, you should be able to work well with residents and staff, work under pressure, and communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending).
