Key Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
- Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments.
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information and perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and mercy service standards.
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
- Personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
- One year of RN experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
- Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses (CPHON) certification.
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification.
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment &Care Modules certification.
- Fetal Monitor Certification (C-EFM) certification.
