Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Handler to join our team at The Toro Company. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient movement and storage of materials, parts, and equipment within our warehouse facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate power equipment such as lift trucks, stand-up lift trucks, overhead steel cranes, and other machinery to receive, count, move, ship, and locate parts, materials, jigs, tower fixtures, dies, and scrap tanks.
  • Conduct regular inspections of lift trucks to ensure safe operation, including checking brakes, wheels, steering, oil leaks, and other critical systems.
  • Utilize inventory software systems to complete necessary paperwork, operate scales and computers, and perform other tasks related to inventory recordkeeping.
  • Apply strong systems knowledge to perform transactions, make inventory adjustments, and make sound decisions to correct, identify, and verify inventory.
  • Perform all inventory functions, including receiving, ordering materials, internal moves, and shipping.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, produce high-quality workmanship, and maintain good housekeeping practices in and around the work area.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Core skills training in basic shop math, measuring tools, and blueprint reading, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, stack pallets, and perform other physically demanding tasks up to 10 pounds frequently.
Work Environment

The nature of this job requires frequent exposure to noise and oil, which can be present on equipment, materials, or in the air. This position also involves working in an environment with frequent exposure to cold temperatures. Hazards associated with this role include physical injury from operating equipment and slippery floors.
