Position Overview
Our facility is a key player in the Defense and Aerospace sector, focusing on the design, production, and testing of advanced safety systems. We are currently looking for an Assembler I to engage in various tasks related to the assembly of electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow detailed instructions under close supervision.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and a capacity to learn new processes.
  • Position and align parts accurately in fixtures or holding devices.
  • Execute intermediate assembly tasks, including soldering, potting, and encapsulating.
  • Package finished assemblies or subassemblies appropriately.
  • Perform assembly operations under magnification when necessary.
  • Maintain the ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Work overtime as required, including weekends.
  • Engage in physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and pushing.
  • Assemble components like resistors and capacitors.
  • Connect components to printed circuits through soldering.
  • Adjust materials to meet specified electrical or dimensional standards.
  • Conduct inline testing and inspections to ensure compliance with production standards.
  • Cross-train on other programs within the facility.
  • Perform repair and rework operations following established procedures.
  • Complete tasks resourcefully and effectively.
  • Interpret schematics and blueprints accurately.
  • Undertake additional job-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with 6 to 24 months of relevant industrial experience.
  • Ability to read schematics and assembly prints, with familiarity in wiring, welding, bonding, and soldering.
  • Some positions may require obtaining IPC/J-STD Certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards is advantageous.
  • Capability to achieve security clearance is necessary.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and Outlook.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to Department of Energy regulations.
