The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing high-quality medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a medical setting. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with a flexible schedule to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional patient care by promoting a professional and welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist physicians in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures.
- Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization, and procedures within established guidelines.
- Anticipate provider needs and maintain a smooth patient flow.
- Prepare rooms for patients, including equipment checks and inventory management.
- Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed.
- Scan retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies, alerting the Head MA and/or GM of low levels.
- Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested.
- Attend in-house training and continued education opportunities.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
- Experience with EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
- Computer savvy with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Excellent patient relation and customer service skills.
- Open availability to work weekdays and weekends.
- Full-time employees (30+ hours per week) are eligible for medical, HSA/FSA, dental, vision, company HSA contribution, 401K, birthday holiday, company-sponsored short-term disability, and pre-tax savings for public transit commuters.
- Part-time employees (less than 30 hours) are eligible for dental, vision, and 401K on the first of the month after hire date.
