About the Position

As a Commissioning Engineer at ENGIE North America Inc., you will play a critical role in the development, design, and construction of complex energy projects. You will oversee commissioning activities to transition BESS facilities from construction to safe, stable, and reliable operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a Commissioning Plan to ensure activities are completed safely, efficiently, and within schedule.
  • Examine project permits, agreements, licenses, registrations, and contracts to identify necessary data collection and activities for commissioning.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure proper project closeout, address issues/claims, and lead continuous improvement activities related to start-up, commissioning, and testing.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher in management, engineering, science, or technology-related field.
  • A minimum of two (2) years' experience related to the development, design, and/or construction of complex energy projects.
  • Experience in leading, managing, and/or directing multi-discipline teams and external partners.
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust to changing project conditions, providing solution-based alternatives, and developing recommendations.
  • Working knowledge of technical software such as SCADA and other Energy Management Systems (EMS).
