Dietary Cook Specialist

Full-Time Dietary Cook Position - Competitive Salary: $42,000/year + $2,000 Sign-On Bonus

We are seeking a dedicated Nutrition and Culinary Expert to join our team at Regency Park Nursing & Rehab Carroll. As a Dietary Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive high-quality, nutritious meals that meet their dietary needs and preferences.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook healthy meals for residents according to specific dietary plans and preferences.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed in the kitchen to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Collaborate with the dietary team to plan menus that meet nutritional requirements for residents.
• Serve meals promptly and professionally, ensuring residents receive their food at the correct temperature and consistency.
• Monitor food inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain accurate records for food usage.
• Maintain knowledge of residents' specific dietary needs and restrictions, including food allergies, texture modifications, and special diets.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Culinary or food service training preferred.
• Previous experience as a cook in a long-term care, hospital, or institutional setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and ability to follow guidelines in meal preparation and handling.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with staff and residents.
