Job Title: Welding Adjunct Faculty

Job Summary:

We are seeking a part-time Welding Adjunct Faculty member to join our team at Virginia Western Community College. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching Welding courses on a semester-by-semester basis. If you have a passion for teaching and a strong background in Welding, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Welding courses to students of varying skill levels
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the Welding program

Requirements:

  • High School diploma with five years of current occupational experience in Welding
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to write syllabi and exams, develop learning strategies, curriculum, and assessments
  • Ability to work with students of varying abilities from diverse backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess AWS certification and/or formal education in a certificate, apprenticeship program in Welding from an accredited school
