Job Summary:

The Certified Surgical Technologist will be responsible for preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile environment, and assisting surgeons during procedures. This is a travel position, and you will have the opportunity to work in various locations within the Trinity Health system.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the operating room and maintain a sterile environment
  • Assist surgeons during procedures, including passing instruments and maintaining a safe and efficient workflow
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the surgical team
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an Associate or Bachelor's degree program for Surgical Technologist
  • Preferred Certification: CST (certification requirement directed by local facility)
  • A minimum of 18 months experience is required for CST and/or Associate or Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift and position patients when preparing patients for operative procedures
  • Manual dexterity necessary to grasp and hold firmly retractors and delicate surgical instruments
