We are seeking a highly skilled RF Test and Integration Engineer to join our team at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). As a member of our Radio Frequency Engineering Group, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and testing of RF kinetic weapon systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, integrate, and test RF technologies and systems in lab and field environments.
- Analyze and verify RF and PVAT-based guidance, navigation, and communication systems.
- Develop digital signal processing, seeker, and antenna systems through prototyping and experimentation.
- Evaluate system performance and recommend improvements.
- Utilize anechoic chambers and RF testbeds to characterize system performance and analyze data.
- Collaborate with engineers across APL and external partners.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Knowledge of RF systems, propagation, antenna design, or signal processing.
- Familiarity with using one or more types of RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, waveform generators, oscilloscopes, or signal analyzers.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated success while working within a team environment.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as needed.
The selected applicant will be required to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance by their start date and can ultimately obtain a Top Secret level clearance.
Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.
