Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall operations of the group home, including staff supervision, resident care, and facility maintenance
  • Develop and implement care plans to meet the physical, medical, and psycho-social needs of residents
  • Assign and instruct staff members in resident care, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies
  • Monitor attendance, schedule staff shifts, and maintain accurate records
  • Attend meetings and collaborate with colleagues to implement care plans and training goals
  • Handle administrative tasks, including paperwork, supply management, and maintenance requests
  • Develop and lead recreational programs and activities to enhance resident engagement and well-being
  • Provide training and support to staff members to ensure adherence to policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and external agencies to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Address resident care needs, including medication administration, treatments, and documentation
  • Remain on duty until proper shift coverage is secured, ensuring resident safety and well-being
  • Investigate and resolve problems, implement improvements, and coordinate services to meet resident needs
  • Prepare reports, supervise records, and conduct training sessions to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and supportive environment for residents

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Understanding of care techniques for individuals with disabilities
  • Knowledge of physical, mental, and emotional needs of residents
  • Ability to provide physical care, CPR, First Aid, and emergency response
  • Skills in program development, scheduling, and supervision
  • Capacity to evaluate behavior issues and resolve conflicts
  • Proficiency in housekeeping, training, and problem-solving
  • Effective communication and reporting abilities
  • Competence in handling emergencies and maintaining safety
  • Fluency in English and necessary computer programs
  • Capability to analyze data, prepare reports, and collaborate with others
