Key ResponsibilitiesThe Pharmacy Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Director of Pharmacy and other leadership within the Pharmacy Department. Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing daily pharmacy operations and ensuring adherence to institutional policies and practices.
- Collaborating on the planning, development, and evaluation of pharmacy services, making necessary adjustments to operations.
- Maintaining effective information systems to enhance pharmacy workflow.
- Facilitating staff development and training in conjunction with other pharmacy managers.
- Ensuring compliance with pharmacy laws and providing guidance regarding regulatory standards.
- Assisting in budget preparation and cost containment initiatives.
- Managing departmental productivity targets and staffing proposals.
- Preparing reports to communicate ongoing assignments and potential patient safety concerns.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A B.S. or PharmD degree from an accredited pharmacy college.
- A minimum of four years of experience as a hospital pharmacist.
- Preferred: ASHP accredited residency or advanced degree (MBA, MHA, MS).
- A valid State Pharmacy License.
- A Florida State Consultant License.
