Position Overview

The Billing Compliance Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring that all billing charges are accurately captured, documented, and processed in accordance with established policies and regulatory standards. This position focuses on the reconciliation processes within the service line, ensuring that all financial transactions are handled efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain effective charge-capture processes to guarantee timely and accurate billing.
  • Conduct thorough reconciliations of charges against source documents to verify completeness and accuracy.
  • Monitor compliance with internal policies and report any discrepancies to the appropriate management.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and rectify errors or omissions in billing data.
  • Provide training and support to staff involved in billing and charge capture activities to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Perform audits on purchasing requests related to vendor-managed inventory and liaise with vendors to confirm pricing accuracy.
  • Assist the Accounts Payable department in resolving any invoice discrepancies.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a healthcare setting is required; 2 years preferred, with significant exposure to the healthcare revenue cycle. Experience with Epic software is a plus.
Licensure/Certification: None required.
