Job Responsibilities:

As a Clinical Nurse Manager (RN) in our Operating Room, you will be responsible for the daily and overall operation of assigned units. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring optimal staff performance and efficient patient care processes and outcomes
  • Enhancing patient and family satisfaction
  • Managing resources prudently
  • Reading, writing legibly, and conversing effectively in English
  • Possessing strong nursing knowledge and skills in clinical areas of responsibility
  • Exercising good judgment and demonstrating effective critical thinking skills
  • Being flexible and able to prioritize and address multiple responsibilities concurrently
  • Working effectively under stress and frequently changing job requirements and situations
  • Maintaining regular, consistent, and punctual attendance

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  • Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
  • Possessing physical agility and adequate reaction time to respond quickly to unexpected patient needs
  • Adequate hearing and visual acuity, including color vision
  • Fine motor skills, adequate eyehand coordination, and ability to grasp and handle objects
  • Proper body mechanics to assist patients in ambulating, and transferring in and out of bed, chair, or wheelchair
  • May be required to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Use standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids
  • Communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on the telephone
  • Significant use of personal computer, phone, and general office equipment
