POSITION DESCRIPTION:


This role is crucial for achieving optimal efficiency in the management and execution of electrical projects.

The responsibilities include collaboration with the Electrical Projects Foreman, Project Manager, and Operations Manager for designated electrical assignments.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, testing, and enhancement of various electrical systems.
  • Interpret and analyze electrical schematics and blueprints during the setup of electrical devices and apparatus such as conduits, wiring, lighting, convenience outlets, circuit breakers, electrical panel boards, disconnects, bus ducts, cable trays, transformers, and electric motors.
  • Manage the installation of electrical equipment, fixtures, and fittings, including transformers, switchgear, junction boxes, electrical panels, lighting, HVAC systems, elevators, power outlets, and security and fire detection systems.
  • Document all completed tasks for assigned areas to the ELECTRICAL PROJECTS FOREMAN, ensuring quality and precision to minimize rework.
  • Prepare requisitions for tools, materials, and supplies necessary for completing assigned tasks, ensuring proper utilization to prevent losses.
  • Comply with all company quality control and safety protocols.
  • Maintain full safety awareness to prevent accidents or damage to electrical equipment during installation, repair, troubleshooting, or testing.
  • Participate in training sessions and seminars as required by the organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the ELECTRICAL PROJECTS FOREMAN or PROJECT MANAGER.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Standing – Remaining upright at a workstation for extended periods.
  • Walking – Moving about on foot.
  • Sitting – Remaining seated for prolonged durations.
  • Lifting – Raising or lowering objects (approximately 50 lbs) from one level to another.
  • Carrying – Transporting objects, typically holding them in hands or arms, or on the shoulder, e.g., tools and materials up to 100 lbs over distances of up to 400 feet.
  • Pushing – Applying force to move an object away.
  • Pulling – Applying force to move an object towards oneself.
  • Climbing ladders, lifts, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles as necessary.
  • Bending and crouching as required to perform job duties.
  • Crawling as necessary to access equipment.
  • Extending arms and hands in various directions.
  • Grasping and manipulating objects with hands.
  • Work environments may be noisy, congested, and/or confined.

DRESS CODE:

  • Field employees must wear appropriate shirts with sleeves, long pants, and sturdy work shoes or boots (OSHA standard).
  • Uniforms will be provided.
  • Clothing must fit properly and be in good condition to avoid safety hazards.
  • Clothing must not display any derogatory or offensive content.
  • Jewelry may be worn if it does not pose a safety risk.
  • Body piercings (other than earrings) should not be visible.
  • Hair and facial hair must be groomed to avoid safety hazards.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to perform duties in extreme temperatures, e.g., hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions, for 8 to 10 hours daily, up to 6 days a week.
  • Job requires wearing personal tools and a belt at all times.
  • Work from various types of ladders and scaffolding.
  • Perform tasks at heights of up to 60 feet.
  • Work in restricted areas, following proper procedures.
  • Use personal protective equipment, e.g., hard hats, safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, masks, and earplugs as required.
  • Follow specific procedures for contamination control, noise control, and vibration awareness.
  • Must be available for night shifts and mid shifts as required.
  • Be prepared for short notice overtime requirements.

REQUIRED SKILL SETS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of four (4) years' experience as a commercial/industrial electrician.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong personal organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Completion of a Certified Apprenticeship Program.
