About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Security Systems Architect to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Kuiper Project, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing embedded security systems software that provides secured communications between satellites and customer-terminals.

About You

To succeed in this role, you should have 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience, with a strong background in programming languages such as RUST, C, or C++. Additionally, you should have experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems, and have worked as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.

About the Team

Our team is responsible for tackling critical satellite functions including power management, hardware interfaces, command & telemetry, and autonomous control. We are looking for an outstanding software engineer to participate in all phases of software development from requirements through implementation and test to operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop software to do cryptographic operations for secure boot and communications.
  • Own unique embedded software functions through design, implementation, test, and integration in an embedded Linux or real-time operating system (RTOS) environment.
  • Work closely with hardware teams to support board design, bring-up, and verification, as well as integration and test.
  • Follow best practices in high reliability embedded software development to ensure high levels of satellite security and reliability.
