We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Primrose School. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our students and staff.

• Collect, wash, and return laundry to classrooms
• Collect and dispose of trash into the dumpster
• Collect items from classrooms to wash in the kitchen
• Sweep and mop hallways, communal areas, and classrooms at specific times
• Spot clean surfaces as needed
• Clean and sanitize high-touch areas, including doorknobs, chair rails, and doors
• Wash interior and lobby/entrance windows
• Clean student and staff bathrooms
• Assist teachers with closing classrooms as needed at the end of the school day
• Restock supplies to classes, including paper towels, trash bags, and plastic ware
• Assist in the event of a large spill or accident
• Ensure fans, vent covers, and windowsills are dust-free
• Deliver items to classrooms and provide restroom breaks to teachers
• Assist in all areas of the school as needed

• Must meet state requirements for childcare industry and additional school requirements may apply
• Ability to work independently and remain motivated
• Performs tasks with speed and attention to detail
• Able to walk 3-5 miles a day and lift up to 35 pounds
• Effective communication skills
• Strong organization skills
• Ability to work on a team with the understanding that the purpose of the position is to support others
• Willing to take initiative
• Strong understanding of the need for a clean environment
• Must be able to read and follow detailed written and verbal instructions
• Must be able to use mechanical equipment, such as carpet cleaners, vacuums, and tools
• Must be able to use various chemicals and cleaning agents
• Prior experience working as a Housekeeper in a school or child care center is preferred but not required
• Must have a high school diploma or higher

$14.00 - $17.00 per hour
