A leading healthcare company in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Senior Auditor to join their team. Reporting to an Audit Manager, the Senior Auditor will be responsible for conducting internal audits and reviews to assess the reliability of financial reporting, safeguarding of assets, and effectiveness of operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with audit managers and internal audit team members to execute the annual audit plan based on corporate risk assessment.
- Develop the audit scope, oversee the quality of work product, and supervise the work of audit team members.
- Prepare work products such as audit analyses and engagement documentation, and test and evaluate processes and related controls.
- Prepare initial drafts of audit reports for submission to the internal audit manager.
- Develop recommendations for improvements in internal control, operational, and financial processes.
- Participate in training to increase knowledge and develop skills in audit, operations, and accounting and information systems.
- Analyze complex situations and keep up to date with organizational changes.
- 3+ years of audit experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
- Mix of public accounting, internal auditing, and accounting/finance skills.
- Demonstrated PC proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Solid problem-solving and time management skills.
- Great interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Highly organized.
- 3+ years progressive work experience in accounting and/or auditing.
- CPA, CIA, and/or MS/MBA.
- Audit analytics experience.
- Health services experience.
- Experience with audit analytics/auditing large populations through the use of technology/robotic process automation.
