- Effective Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and other healthcare team members regarding patient status, rendered care, and treatment plans.
- Medication Administration: Utilize the latest advancements in bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure the safe delivery of medications to our patients.
- Electronic Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic documentation of patient assessments, plan-of-care, interventions, and evaluation of rendered care.
- Patient Education: Provide patient and family-centered education to optimize health, wellness, and disease management.
- Discharge Planning: Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe transitioning and continuum of care for patients.
- Current NJ Nursing License: Possess a valid and current New Jersey Nursing license.
- BLS/CPR Certification: Hold a current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Education and Experience: Possess a BSN in progress or be willing to acquire within three years of hire, with six months or more of nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
- Skills and Abilities: Demonstrate the ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, and provide exceptional patient care based on a strong sense of patient focus.
