Job Description

Job Summary

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled EDI Software Systems Engineer to join our team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for performing Configuration Management (CM), IT analysis, and help desk activities to support the Internal Revenue Service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply extensive knowledge in ANSI X12 Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) with maps and workflows using COTS tools.
  • Develop, review, and execute software test plans.
  • Support software upgrades, platform migrations, and documentation updates.
  • Review, analyze, and troubleshoot customer EDI transactions.
  • Respond to government and customer information requests and conduct EDI-related trading partner testing and data validation.

Requirements

  • BS and 2 years of experience (4 years experience in lieu of degree)
  • US Citizenship required for the client
  • Three to five years CM and EDI experience
  • Background in software development, testing, and configuration management
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle processes and all aspects of software testing (system, integration, and regression testing)
  • Previous experience working with the Internal Revenue Service
  • Software development utilizing CMMI Level 3 process areas
  • Demonstrated ability to write and execute SQL queries for relational databases
  • COTS experience required:
    • Rational Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) tool suite, which include the individual tools: Engineering Workflow Management (EWM), Engineering Test Management (ETM), Engineering Requirements Management (ERM)
    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • Microsoft SharePoint and Teams
    • Windows 11
    • Adobe
    • IBM Transformation Extender (ITX) (v 10.1 and higher)
    • Linux/UNIX operating system
    • Oracle database

Target Salary Range

$80,001 - $120,000

SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
