The Burn Services Registered Nurse plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in our Burn Unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients with burn injuries. Your expertise and compassion will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing individualized care plans to address their unique requirements.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians, monitoring patients' responses and adjusting care plans accordingly.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, promoting a positive and empowering experience.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance patient care and safety.
- Meet the standards of practice and care, adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Current licensure in Nevada as a Registered Nurse is required.
- Demonstrated current RN experience in Burn Services/Care is necessary, with a focus on quality communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- ACLS, BCLS, and ABLS certifications are required within one year of hire, along with a passing score on the Critical Care Test/Rhythm interpretation examination.
- CCRN certification is preferred.
- Ability to participate in considerable walking and standing, moderate lifting, and exposure to patient elements and handling of emergencies and critical patient incidents.
