Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Network Security Engineer, you will be a leader within the Network Operations Team, guiding and mentoring junior members. You will oversee the work performed by junior engineers, mentor their technical educational activities, share knowledge and testing techniques, and design and implement automation to aid the team in creating efficiencies.

Infrastructure & Automation

You will be accountable for managing and maintaining security tools and infrastructure that supports Network Security. You will focus on designing and implementing automation to aid the team in creating efficiencies.

Security Operations Support

You will be responsible for providing daily support of the Network Security Infrastructure. You will respond and resolve Major Incidents, respond and resolve Network Alerts, and monitor the infrastructure with a proactive mindset.

Security Research

You will be accountable for regularly monitoring the security community for, and researching, the latest assessment and exploit methodologies. You will share the information back to the team in the form of newly written tools and/or techniques via informal internal training sessions.

Reporting

You will be accountable for preparing and delivering the highest quality security information that comprehensively and clearly explains risk, demonstrates findings, and offers tactical and strategic recommendations to both technical and non-technical internal clients.

Communication

You will be effective and professional in communicating a variety of topics, including technical and non-technical information, to a wide variety of internal and external customers, including leadership from across the organization.

Requirements

You will need a Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, MIS or related field. You will also need one or more advanced security certifications (e.g. CISSP, PCNSE, PCNSA, CEH, ZIAA, ZIAP).

Additionally, you will need 5+ years' experience in a similar role. You will have experience with Palo Alto Networks, highly technical and analytical hands-on experience with Network Security Appliances and Applications, and highly technical and analytical hands-on experience with Site-To-Site VPN, Client VPN, and Encryption/Decryption methods.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ZScaler, Palo Alto, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure, preferably within an Agile/DevOps operating model, is preferred.
