Maintenance Worker

This position is located at a US Army facility and is responsible for inspecting and analyzing refrigeration equipment, diagnosing malfunctioning electric fixtures, and completing needed repairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

• Inspect and analyze refrigeration equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning electric fixtures
• Install and maintain electronic and electromechanical cash registers and peripheral equipment
• Prepare and paint equipment, fixtures, furnishings, and buildings
• Hang wallpaper and install and repair water, sewer, and gas fixtures
• Cut, bend, and fit pipes and fittings
• Operate a motor vehicle to transport materials and personnel
• Use various hand and power tools to complete projects
• Use electrical test equipment to diagnose and repair electrical systems

• Lift and carry ladders, scaffolds, and materials weighing up to 50 pounds
• Possess skill in the use of power tools used to complete projects
• Demonstrate ability to use electrical test equipment
• Possess math skills necessary to measure, fit, and cost materials used
• Possess a valid motor vehicle operator's permit

• Possess, or be willing to obtain and maintain, a valid Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Certification
